The tandem of Angus Lloyd, a British businessman, and Henri Strzelecki, a soldier in Polish Army, launched the company producing sailing, yachting and golfing apparel in Manchester. The ship named ‘Henri Lloyd’ set sail for the sea in 1963. Henri Lloyd team was the first to use fabrics such as Bri-Nylon. In 1967, Francis Chichester made a long voyage around the world, and he was dressed in a green Henri Lloyd Consort jacket. Along his entire journey, Henri Lloyd has been evolving technologies and innovative solutions to create apparel that helped sportsmen set world records. Henri Lloyd will be the Official Technical Clothing Supplier for the 2015-2016 and 2017-2018 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Nowadays, the company’s range includes menswear, womenswear, footwear, accessories and apparel for sailing.
